Frequently Asked Questions

• Can we see a sample of a product? Yes. Please Contact GFR to order product samples.

• Can apparel be purchased blank? Yes. Any of the products offered can be provided blank.

• What sizes are available? Standard size offering is XS-2XL. If you require additional sizes then GFR can fulfill additional size needs.

• Can size specifications of a product be adjusted? GFR uses loose fit adult average standard size specifications. GFR can work with custom size specifications if provided.

• What if we are not sure of size breakdown needed? GFR can help recommend average size forecast breakdowns using past race order history and race participation averages.

• What if we did not forecast enough product? GFR recommends that you order at least 5% over run in blank apparel. Ordering blanks rather then decorated (even if GFR is supplying decorated shirts) allows you to have extra apparel on hand in case final week adjustments are needed. Having extra blanks on hand allows for a GFR domestic decorator or a local decorator in your area to offer quick last minute turnaround. If extra blanks are not needed then they can be saved and used for the following year.

• What if I already have a relationship with a local decorator? That is no problem at all as GFR recommends building and keeping relationships with local decorators as many races will barter decorating services in exchange for sponsorship opportunities. GFR can arrange for blank apparel to be shipped directly to your local decorator/printer.

• Does GFR recommend a printing process? It is recommended to use polyester specific inks.  After drying (recommended temp 320 degrees and drier speed normal) it is very important to take the garment of the drier right away and lay flat, avoiding stacking on each other while they are still warm. Bunching up the shirts as they come out of the drier will make them wrinkle when cooling down.

• What decoration methods are offered? GFR manufacturing partners have the ability to screen print, embroider, heat transfer or sublimate although the most popular cost and time effective decorating method is screen printing.

• What format does our artwork need to be in if GFR is doing the decorating? High resolution artwork (jpeg, ai, eps) is required in order to produce quality decorating.

• Does GFR offer graphic design services? Yes. GFR has an experienced graphic designer on staff to help you create race logos from scratch or just update or fix a current race logo. Graphic design charges may apply. Contact GFR for specific requests and estimated graphic design costs.

• What is the minimum order? Minimum order depends on style, color and decorating needs. Please reference Gear page for specific minimums.

• What if we have a small race? Although the range of styles and colors may be limited with smaller races GFR can work with races who have less then 1000 athletes participating. GFR recommends focusing on ordering blank White S/S Race Day Crew Neck Performance T-Shirts as order minimum is only 500.

• What is the average lead time? Lead time depends on style, color and decorating needs. Lead times can range from 4 Weeks to 14 Weeks depending on apparel needs. GFR recommends focusing on ordering blank White S/S Race Day Crew Neck Performance T-Shirts as order minimum is only 500 and lead times can be as short as 4 weeks.

• How do we get the direct bulk prices for GFR products? Contact GFR for direct bulk product pricing. Suggested Retail Prices shown are average prices these styles sell for at popular retail locations around the country. GFR does not post direct bulk product prices because we want to be sure we listen to your race needs.

• How does shipping work? GFR prices quoted will include all landed duty and transportation charges into the United States for imported products. Once in the country (imported goods) or completed from domestic manufacturer then shipping charges do apply to your final location. GFR can work with you to set up shipping billed directly to you or estimate shipping charges billed with your order. Also, depending on your race needs, GFR could provide a final quote that includes delivery to a designated US location.

• What are payment terms? Payment terms are 50% deposit due when order is placed and remaining 50% due at delivery. Net Terms available per credit approval.

• What is the return policy? Since all GFR orders are custom made to your style, color, decorating and specifications no returns will be accepted.
